My list for Classics Club Spin #27

Friday, July 16, 2021

I missed the 26th spin, but the 27th spin for The Classics Club is here, so I might as well!

A number between 1 and 20 will be announced on July 18th, and I have until August 22nd to read the book that corresponds with that number. These books are all from my FULL LIST for The Classics Club, books that I plan to read over the next couple of years.

You can always visit the MAIN PAGE of The Classics Club blog to see what it's all about.

    1. Thanks! I'm excited to see what number we get. I admit that I selected shorter volumes this time around just so I wouldn't get discouraged halfway through the book. ;)

  2. I need to put a few of these on my next Classics Club list I think. I'm about to start CS Forester's Horatio Hornblower novels (not on my list though).

    1. Nice! I've been curious about the Hornblower books. I remember watching the miniseries with Ioan Gruffudd many, many years back and have pondered reading them ever since. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them.

    1. Very nice, you're far ahead of me. A few are old favorites, like Treasure Island and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but all the rest will be fairly new to me. I'm fond of my list for this spin. :)

    1. I was hoping for The Haunting of Hill House, but ended up with Tender is the Night, which I don't mind. I could stand to read a little Fitzgerald!
