POSTPONED UNTIL JUNE 1ST- 3RD . . . Announcing . . . the Frank Langella Blogathon!

Friday, February 26, 2016

Look at me, I'm actually planning a blogathon out more than just a month! Shocking, I know. It's hard to believe it's actually been more than a year since my Goldblum Fest. I was planning my blog parties in February for some reason, but decided to change it up a little bit and try a new month.

Why Langella, you ask? Why not, I say!

My bff introduced me to Langella via Zorro waaaaaaay back in 2002 and I've loved him ever since. The great thing about Langella, though, is that he's not limited to just a single era or even genre. Yes, he played Dracula, but he also delivered an astounding, Oscar nomination-worthy performance as Richard Nixon in Frost/Nixon. He's done a little bit of everything and as such, deserves quite a bit of acclaim.

I know I'm announcing this almost 3 months early, but this gives everyone plenty of time to track down his films, plan their posts, and even share about the blogathon on your blogs if you'd like, which I would really appreciate!

I'll be hopping around on your blogs making invites within a couple of weeks! ❤

  1. Replies
    1. I have never seen Dave, but the wikipedia synopsis sounds HILARIOUS. I can hardly wait to hear what you write!

P.s. If you want to do a post during the blogathon referencing back to your Mark of Zorro post, that would be fine by me. If you wanted to do it that way. :)

    2. Oh my goodness, Dave is one of my favorite comedies. Just delightful. I can't wait to share it! It's the first thing I ever saw Langella in.

I might do a post saying, "By the way, I also have reviewed his Mark of Zorro and Dracula, here are some links." Or pop them in at the end of my Dave review or something.

    3. I forgot you also reviewed his Dracula!

I think it'll be a fun blogathon, mostly just an excuse for me to fangirl. ;)

  2. I'll participate. Have no idea what I'll wind up doing (May is a long time off) but you know me; I'll think of something. ;)

    1. Oh, I have no doubt you'll think of something! :)

    2. Hopefully so.

I've watched / reviewed all his movies in the past, so it'll be a case of me searching for something new to say about them; which is hard for DRACULA for obvious reasons. Might have to go with something else.

    3. Well, in that case you can leave Dracula to me since I haven't actually written about it before. I don't think. Unless I wrote something for Femnista. You could always write about The Twelve Chairs since that movie is hilarity beyond belief. At least I've given you 3 months to think something up. :)

    4. I love your current header. It's so PURDY.

You wrote... was it a fanfic? I think it might have been. I don't think you've ever written anything 'serious' about it, though. :)

Not in a Langella mood at the moment, but I imagine that'll change by May!

    5. Thanks! I felt it was time to make a header for WCTH since I am a Heartie and must wear it proudly. :)

  3. Wait a minute I missed the Goldblum fest?
Oh that's so wrong... I will have to check out the archives!

Meanwhile, I am in with "Robot and Frank"

    Summer Reeves

    1. Yes, sadly you missed my Goldlbum phase. It was a rocking good time last year. But you can definitely look back through my posts on THIS page!

As for the Langella blogathon, putting you down for "Robot and Frank." It would be awesome if you would share the button somewhere on your blog page, too. Thanks for joining!

  4. Ah, what the heck. I'll write about Frost/Nixon. The name's Anna, and the blog's Defiant Success (

    1. Fantastic! I'm so glad you're joining us, Anna! I'm adding you to the list!

  5. Here's my entry!

    1. Hi, Anna! As I really, really hope you saw, life got a little crazy and I had to postpone this blogathon. It runs June 1st thru the 3rd and I'm adding your post to my link-up post now. Thanks so much for participating. Heading over to read your post now!

Thank you for your kind comments, which I adore!
