Femnista - Jan/Feb Edition 2015: Swashbucklers

This issue looks absolutely lovely!

I'm sad to say that I did not write an article for Swashbucklers, but I encourage you to read the issue all the same.

Stories included are:Blackbeard, Robin Hood, The Princess Bride, The Three Musketeers, Zorro, Shipwrecked, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and of course, the pirate's pirate, Jack Sparrow.

  1. I'm not quite finished with it, but so far this is my favorite issue yet :-D And I assume the article about "Shipwrecked" was written by your... sister? I'd never heard of that movie before, but mmm, Gabriel Byrne!

    1. A part of me feels really bad that I didn't write an article for this issue, I must admit, but I'm glad to hear that it's a great issue! I'll be reading it in the next week or so when I have some time to spare.

And yes, Caitlin is my sweet sister. She and I were sort of raised on Shipwrecked and even though it's a bit silly in places, it's still a fun movie. Maybe your library has it!

    2. My library system as basically zero obscure movies, and very few "old" ones that aren't super famous. So alas, nope, doesn't have it. Maybe I'll find it on Hulu or YouTube...

    3. Aww, that's such a shame! I know it's fairly cheap on Amazon. I think I bought it for 6 bucks or something, but Youtube might be a good option too. They have practically everything you can't find anywhere else!

    4. Yeah, it's the main reason we pay for Amazon Prime -- they have a lot of great movies, new and old, you don't have to pay more to watch then, lots I can't get from the library here. That's how I got to see North & South last week, for instance.
